DIMITRIS DASSIOS

Dimitris Dassios was born in Athens where he studied Political Science before training as an actor and classical singer. He has established a longstanding career as an actor, alongside the biggest names of the Greek entertainment business. Having always a passionate interest in the fine and decorative arts, Dimitris found in jewellery and accessories design the perfect expression of both his artistic nature and aesthetic principles.
Influenced by international art design movements, he creates jewellery and accessories in original designs, making his own personal statement on contemporary design.

His use of special and rather alternative materials, such as bronze chains and pleated metals that undergoes a gilded technique, along with other luxurious elements of crystals, fine antique embroidery and gems, lead to the creation of sculptural forms that is both unique and utterly distinctive. His creations are based on original designs where shimmers, transparencies and bold colour combinations are the predominant aspects. His collections, always handcrafted are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition ones.

In 2006, Dassios creates the Turk Baroque collection which was presented in Milan and Paris during the fashion week. Confronted with great enthusiasm, the Turk Baroque collection was bought by the most influential fashion boutiques of the world such as:
L’ eclaireur, Maria Luisa, Biffi, Gio Moretti, Tad, Joyce, Henri Bendel, Joseph, Feathers, and others.

Since then, the Dassios collections are being presented at the most prestigious international trade shows and are available in 40 boutiques all over the world that indicate the fashion trends.
